GIASaaS (Greek InfrAstructure for Satellite-as-a–Service) is a Satellite-as-a-Service platform developed by OHB Hellas to provide seamless access to AI-powered satellite applications and hardware.
The platform allows users to issue requests through a user-friendly web interface, which are then processed by an API server that manages Kubernetes-based ML Inference engines. These engines run on space-representative hardware, enabling AI-based data processing onboard. The results are relayed back through a secure communication pipeline, ensuring rapid delivery of actionable insights. This architecture leverages a ground-based infrastructure for command orchestration, making satellite-based machine learning easily accessible and efficient.
At its current state, the platform operates space-representative hardware located in our company lab, including the Xilinx Kria KV260, the Google Coral TPU and the Brainchip Akida NPU.
Hello, World! is often the first very simple computer program. GIASaaS, pronounced: /ˈʝasas/ means “Hello” in Greek. The page aims to demo the products and services of the company.
