OHB Hellas is currently looking for a On-board Software Verification and Validation Engineer to high growth of the company.

Job Overview:
The Onboard Software Verification & Validation Engineer contributes to the validation of Satellite Core SoftWare (SCSW). The role focuses on requirements‑based testing, test automation, and verification.
This position is ideal for an early‑to‑mid‑career engineer with a strong interest in onboard software, validation processes, and space systems, who is comfortable working in a structured, tool‑driven environment aligned with ESA standards
Main Responsibilities
- Create validation test case specifications (VTS) for requirements based on technical specification TS (based on SRS and ICD, see inputs section of this document).
- Creation of traceability between requirements and test cases.
- Development and execution of test scripts (XML based) for test cases using the internal tool TSVF (TS-Level Validation Framework)
- Creation of Software Validation Test Reports (SVR) with the Atlassian Jira/Xray toolchain
- Processing (creation, verification, and closure) of software problem reports (SPR)
- Processing (creation, verification, and closure) of software change requests (SCR)
- Fixing of test script issues within own developed test cases or already existing test cases.
Profile We’re Looking For
- MSc in Aerospace Engineering, Computer Science, Embedded Systems, or a related field
- Strong interest in onboard software and space missions
- Basic understanding of:
- Software development lifecycle
- Verification & validation processes
- Systems engineering concepts (requirements, interfaces, traceability)
- Analytical mindset, attention to detail, and ability to work with complex technical systems
- Familiarity with at least some of the following:
- Test automation or scripting (e.g. XML, Python)
- Version control tools (SVN, Git)
- Jira or similar issue tracking tools
- English (proficient level, required); German is a plus
- Motivation to learn tools, standards, and processes used in ESA and large European space programs
- Military service obligations fulfilled (for male Greek citizens)
