OHB Hellas reinforce its link with the French ecosystem in Greece
The AFIC (Association Francaise des Ingénieurs et Cadres) organizes themed lunches, professional meetings, cultural, sporting or social activities for its members and their families. Founded in 1953 in Athens, it brings together French-speaking engineers, managers, executives and project leaders in Greece. It promotes networking, mutual support and integration.
The OHB SE Group is proud of its multi-cultural heritage with its subsidary in Greece being a perfect example. Our French colleague, Mathieu Bernou, Managing Director at OHB Hellas along with his two french collaborators had the chance to present our activities to a panel of space-enthousiasts.
The presentation featured an overview of OHB activites in Greece by responding to the following questions: how the heritage from our group drove our way in the early phase of our development and still today? What are the sectors where we are pushing innovation? What is our vision for the future of OHB Hellas and the greek space industry?

The goal of OHB Hellas is to develop an intelligent on-board computer to enable satellites to analyze their observations in real time (e.g., forest fires, border surveillance) and to position Greece as a key contributor to the European space industry.
“We’re convinced about the potential of this idea and we’re proud about the interest from extremely relevant partners in the space industry such as ESA. We do believe that this product finds its way well in the OHB Group ecosystem and that it represents a strategic opportunity for Greece to actually build something that matters for Europe and for the greek people.”
