OHB Hellas is currently in search of a skilled Software Development Engineer with a focus on IT support responsibilities. This role blends software development expertise with fundamental IT support activities to enhance the technological capabilities of the organization.

Job Overview:
The Software Development Engineer will play a critical role in developing software solutions while also providing essential IT support services. This position requires a versatile individual who can excel in software development projects and handle basic IT support tasks as needed.
Main Responsibilities
- Participate in software development projects, including design, coding, testing, and deployment phases.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and maintain software applications that meet business requirements.
- Provide basic IT support services, including troubleshooting software and hardware issues, user support, and system maintenance tasks.
- Assist in setting up and configuring software and hardware for internal users.
- Work closely with the IT team to address technical issues and ensure smooth operation of systems.
- Contribute to the documentation of software solutions, IT processes, and support activities.
- Stay updated on emerging technologies and best practices in software development and IT support.
- Preparation of responses to calls for tenders (ESA, Horizon Europe etc.)
- Identify requirements, participate in design & specification generation activities.
- Contribute to ESA management and technical documentation for project reviews.
- Implement and maintain software applications, IT systems, and network infrastructure.
Profile We’re Looking For
- BSc or MSc degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
- Strong knowledge in software development, IT infrastructure, and system administration.
- Experience with distributed computing, cloud technology, and virtualization/containerization.
- Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, Java and JavaScript.
- Familiarity with web development frameworks and libraries such as React.js, Angular, Node.js, etc.
- DevOps knowledge including CI/CD (GitLab CI/CD pipelines) and scripting languages (Bash, Python)
- Experience with network administration, server management, and security protocols.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
- English (proficient level, required) and German (good-to-have).
- Willingness to take on challenges, show resiliency and like to always learn new skills
- Military service obligations fulfilled (for male Greek citizens)
